Here’s What You Should Pack For a Beach Vacation
Most people have heard the expression, pack light at some point in their lives, but what does that actually mean? Most people think that packing light means taking as little clothing and accessories as possible, but this isn’t exactly true. To help, we put together this handy list of things to pack for your next beach vacation!
Sunscreen
We know that sunscreen is important for healthy skin, but when you’re going to be exposed to hours of sun and sand on vacation, it becomes even more crucial. Be sure to pack some high SPF sunscreen; something with an SPF of 30 or above is recommended. Make sure you often reapply—the American Academy of Dermatology recommends every two hours when you're outside and in water.
Beach Towels
This goes without saying, but you’ll need at least one beach towel per person. And if you think you don’t need towels at all? Think again—your skin dries out in saltwater, and sand is abrasive and will make your skin feel itchy as soon as it touches bare skin. Bring at least two towels, and make sure they're big enough to cover your body once laid flat.
Swimwear
When you’re hitting the beach, you don’t miss out on something fun and colorful that will help make your trip to paradise more enjoyable— bikinis and swimsuits. The bikini is a summer must-have that you should pack for your next beach getaway. You can't go wrong with a traditional one-piece swimsuit or a bikini set for your swimwear. It's the simplest way to look smart when lounging on the beach or surfing—or doing both. Make sure you bring at least two pairs of swimsuits so that they can dry in between, as well as a jacket in case the temperature drops after the sun sets.
